Cleanliness - the rooms were freshly decorated and the beds were super comfortable. Hotel facilities - the roof terrace and living room had everything we needed. Location - the camp was located in a cute village with breathtaking nature and the ocean right by our side. Staff - the host, Helder, was warm, friendly, and always there to help.
Couldn't find any faults at all.

We had a blast at this surf camp in Madeira! The host, Helder, was super friendly and helpful. The surf lessons were easy-going and the instructors were professional. The hostel had a cozy and intimate atmosphere in the center of town. The kitchen was well-equipped and the breakfast items were always refilled. It truly felt like a home away from home.
Felt well taken care of, no complaints at all.

I recently stayed at a surf camp in a charming village surrounded by nature. The atmosphere was relaxed and the hostel had a maximum of 8 guests, creating a cozy and intimate setting. My favorite part was the brilliant roof terrace with stunning ocean views. Plus, there was a convenient shop and a great restaurant nearby.

The twin room at Madeira Surf Camp was cozy and had a great view of the mountains. As a light sleeper, I appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the comfortable bed. The tea/coffee maker was also a nice touch for a caffeine boost in the mornings.
Personally, I found the shared bathroom a bit inconvenient. Remember, this is just my opinion, as others might not mind it at all.

The double room had a cable TV, perfect for chilling out after a long day of riding. The twin room had a toaster and a tea/coffee maker, making it easy to have a quick breakfast before hitting the road. Some rooms had beautiful views of the mountains or city, making the stay even more enjoyable.
Personally, I found the shared bathroom a bit inconvenient, but I understand that others may not mind.

The surf lessons were amazing! The instructor, Helder, was super helpful and patient, and I was able to stand up on the board on my first day. It was such a great feeling catching those waves!
The thin walls in the rooms were a major downside. I could hear everything my neighbors were saying and even their TV.

Pros of my stay at this surf hotel: Amazing place with cool people! Hope to come back one day again, but for longer than just for 3 days! The owner is very friendly and ready to help with any questions! Thanks again for the last day suggestion to visit the highest mountain, it was sooo beautiful! And for surfing lessons too! For everything, I already miss this place. I liked the location, possibility to book surf lessons, rooftop with a great view, and how easy it is to meet other travelers. Best place to stay on this island! Great surf lessons, mind-blowing nature, kind people, and the ocean right by your side. Perfect mix of relaxation and sports activities. Lovely rooftop with a view and BBQ area. The host/instructor is amazing, you will definitely ride the board and enjoy your stay. Perfect place whether you're traveling alone or with friends. One of the most amazing experiences in life thanks to this place and the host. Perfect location, close to everything, amazing views from the rooftop. Porto da Cruz is a beautiful village with tasty food and fewer tourists compared to Funchal. The owner is always helpful, and surf lessons are great for both beginners and experienced riders. We surfed at various spots and got to see the whole island. The people at the camp are also great. I stayed for 12 days and can't wait to come back. PS: Rent a car at the airport to explore the island easily.

We had an amazing stay at this hidden gem! The property is clean and well-maintained, with a fully stocked kitchen and a cozy common area. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The best part was the beautiful rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed breathtaking views of the ocean. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, making sure we had a great time during our surf lessons. It was the perfect location to unwind and enjoy the peaceful village atmosphere.
The only downside was the limited public transport on weekends, so having a car would be convenient.

The peaceful atmosphere in Porta da Cruz is perfect for a relaxing stay, and the hostel even has fantastic hiking routes starting right from the door. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home. The surf lessons are top-notch, and the hostel itself is modern and comfortable, with cozy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. this place is a hidden gem for surfers and nature lovers alike.
